His Story

Every story begins somewhere.

Ren Kaido’s story did not begin with one defining moment.

Creativity was simply always there — quietly becoming part of the way he experienced and expressed the world.

Music surrounded him while he was growing up. There was no single person who introduced him to it and no particular moment when everything suddenly began. Over time, music became something more personal: a place for thoughts and feelings that were sometimes difficult to say out loud.

“Music was always around me growing up. I don’t think there was one specific moment. Over time it became a place where I could express things that were difficult to say out loud.”

🎵 Finding a Voice Through Music

For Ren, music is not only about creating songs. It is a way of giving emotions somewhere to exist.

His own songs hold pieces of different moments in his life. What matters most is not how many words a song contains, but whether those words — and the music around them — make someone feel something.

That search for honesty can also make creating difficult.

When asked which of his own songs was the hardest to write, Ren chose “Pure.”

“It wasn’t difficult because of the lyrics, but because I wanted it to be completely honest. Sometimes telling the truth is harder than finding the words.”

That idea — honesty before perfection — lies quietly at the heart of his music.

✏️ Creativity Beyond Music

Long before creativity became something to share publicly, drawing was already part of Ren’s life.

He began drawing as a child simply because he enjoyed creating things. Mostly self-taught, he still sees art as something that is never completely finished or mastered.

“I mostly taught myself. I started drawing when I was a kid, just because I enjoyed creating things. I’m still learning every time I pick up a pencil.”

Illustration and visual art remain another side of his creativity, even as music increasingly takes centre stage.

📸 In Front of the Camera

Ren’s visual expression also extends into modeling.

In front of the camera, expression happens without lyrics. A look, a posture, light or movement can communicate something without needing an explanation.

As his work develops, music and modeling have become the two most visible sides of his artistic path — different forms of expression, but both part of the same creative identity.

🌿 The Person Behind the Artist

Behind the music and photographs is someone who describes himself as rather quiet.

Ren enjoys peaceful mornings, long walks and simple moments more than large crowds. These quieter spaces are often where creativity finds him.

He likes small, cozy cafés, sitting near a window with coffee, writing lyrics and simply watching the city move around him.

“I’m actually a pretty quiet person. I enjoy peaceful mornings, long walks, and simple moments much more than big crowds. Those are usually the moments where I feel the most creative.”

His inspiration does not come from one idol, philosopher or famous figure either.

Instead, he has always admired certain qualities in people.

“I admired people who stayed kind, worked hard, and never gave up on what they loved. Those qualities inspired me more than fame ever did.”

🤍 Quiet Support

His family has also been part of that journey — not by deciding who he should become, but by allowing him to find that out for himself.

“My family always supported me in their own quiet way. They never pushed me to become someone else. Having people who simply believed in me made a bigger difference than they probably realized.”

Perhaps that quiet kind of support reflects something important about Ren’s work as well: not everything meaningful needs to be loud.

Still Becoming

There is no finished version of an artist.

Ren continues to write, create, perform and develop his work. His music career is moving forward, while modeling remains another important part of his creative expression.

When asked what he is currently working toward, his answer was not a number, a title or a destination.

“I’m always trying to become a better musician, songwriter, and version of myself.”

And perhaps his own favorite reminder says it best:

“You don’t have to move fast. You just have to keep moving.”
